Dr. Barlow was born and raised in rural northwestern Iowa. He attended Iowa State University and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994. He completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Boren Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Oklahoma State University, in 1996. Dr. Barlow moved to Minnesota in 1996 and worked at several small animal clinics in the Twin Cities. Dr. Barlow purchased Rockford Veterinary Clinic in 2002. Currently, Dr. Barlow resides in Cokato, MN with his wife, two cats and the clinic mascot – Nelson, the Cava-Poo. Outside of work, he enjoys smoking meats, cooking and working in the yard & garden.
In 2000, Dr. Beck, her husband and two daughters moved back to the mid-west and settled in Farmington, MN. During the next years she worked as a full time mom, a school volunteer, and part time vet in Burnsville and finally found her way to Rockford Veterinary Clinic to work part time with her brother Dr. Barlow. In 2009, she completed a 120 hour course of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine & Acupuncture and is using that new knowledge as an alternative form of treatment integrating it into Western treatments for her patients.
Dr. Beck now lives in Minnetrista on a hobby farm that she and her family share with a geriatric horse and four cats. She enjoys spending time with her daughters whenever the opportunity presents itself, as well as joining her husband working around their new hobby farm.
Born and raised in the Twin Cities area, Dr. Hannah Lehmann earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2019, followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Minnesota in 2023. She is passionate about educating pet parents on preventive medicine strategies to ensure their pets stay healthy and happy, and she has a keen interest in cytology and microscopy.
Outside of her veterinary career, Dr. Lehmann enjoys playing various musical instruments such as saxophone and violin, oil painting, gardening, and learning to fly small planes. A fun fact about Dr. Lehmann is that she spent almost 12 years in the U.S. Military as a musician before transitioning to veterinary medicine near Seattle, Washington. Now, back in the Minnesota, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three French Bulldogs, Great Pyrenees, and two cats.
Practicing at Rockford Veterinary Clinic has allowed Dr. Pariso to achieve her goal of delivering high standards of health care to animals. The relationship between pets and their owners is truly a special one, and current advances in veterinary medicine allow much to offer the animals we love and care for. It is her goal to educate clients on all aspects of pet care throughout a pet’s life, as well as making the best possible treatment choices when illness occurs.
Dr. Pariso lives in Buffalo with her husband (also a veterinarian) and their dog Benjamin, a standard poodle. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters when time and geography permit, reading, gardening and trying to keep up with her active family.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and swimming. She lives in the area with her husband and their son.
When she isn’t working she enjoys hanging out with her husband and ten-year-old son, as well as their three dogs; Justin & Lindy who are Cockapoos, and Kevin a Border Terrier. Bobbi is also an aquarium enthusiast and currently has five aquariums at home filled with tropical fish, shrimp, and snails.
Outside of having a good time at the clinic, Rachel enjoys being in the sun and taking their family dogs for walks. Concerts are one of her favorite ways to spend her true free time.
Emma joined our team after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Studies, along with minors in Animal Science and Equine Science. She brings a passion for animals and a commitment to providing personalized care for each patient. Emma loves getting to know both pets and their owners and finds joy in welcoming new puppies, kittens, and unique breeds into the clinic.
In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time outdoors, whether she’s riding horses, working on the farm, or gardening. She also raises bottle calves and loves being with her dog and horses.
She currently lives on the family farm with her daughter and their pets. She has two cats Poppy, the polydactyl and Bunny, the sweet fluffball along with her Mini Aussie dog, Zoe.
In her spare time Amy is an avid birder, enjoys gardening, and loves spending time with her daughter Chloe. They enjoy hiking with their dog, four-wheeling, cooking, shopping, and going out to eat!
Originally from Southern Minnesota, Shannon is new to life in the city and is loving the energy and opportunities it brings. When she’s not at work, you can find her exploring her new urban surroundings or diving into the latest in pet care practices.
Jodi is sort of considered our relief technician & receptionist here at Rockford
Veterinary Clinic. She helps us out, filling in here and there when needed.
Jodi has had a strong love for animals as long as she can remember, which led her to chose a career in the field of veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Minnesota-Waseca and in 1991 graduated with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. College is also where she met her husband, Jim.
Jodi enjoys working at Rockford Veterinary Clinic not only for her wonderful coworkers, but also in particular for the small, closely knit community. People and their pets are not just a number or name here — you get to know them!
Jodi jokes and likes to say that her house is “Camp Chaos”. She has two grown
sons and a variety of pets which include cats, guinea pigs, ducks, homing pigeons and a horse. Jodi always says if her life wasn’t a zoo, she would be really lost!
Laurie has been a member of the staff here at Rockford Veterinary Clinic since Dr. Purtilo established the practice in the Rockford Mall location. She has enjoyed the opportunity of getting to know the clients and their pets, along with the variety, challenges and the rewards of working in the field of veterinary medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, walking and just being outdoors.
