Amy Beck

Dr. Beck grew up in rural northwestern Iowa with her family where her love of furry creatures began. She grew up with several dogs, many cats, gerbils, horses, bunnies, couple of sheep, a calf, and even hogs. She attended Iowa State University for undergraduate as well as her veterinary training which she completed in 1992. From Iowa she and her husband moved to Oregon where they lived & worked just outside Portland for 8 years.

In 2000, Dr. Beck, her husband and two daughters moved back to the mid-west and settled in Farmington, MN. During the next years she worked as a full time mom, a school volunteer, and part time vet in Burnsville and finally found her way to Rockford Veterinary Clinic to work part time with her brother Dr. Barlow. In 2009, she completed a 120 hour course of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine & Acupuncture and is using that new knowledge as an alternative form of treatment integrating it into Western treatments for her patients.

Dr. Beck now lives in Minnetrista on a hobby farm that she and her family share with two geriatric horses and three cats. She enjoys spending time with her daughters whenever the opportunity presents itself, as well as joining her husband working around their new hobby farm.
