This is Petunia, our September 2023 Pet of the Month! Petunia is a beautiful 14.5 year old dachshund. Petunia has many nicknames that show how special she is. Toast or Toaster which stands for “The Toast Of The Town”, PPOP (POP) which stands for “Princess Petunia Of Plymouth” and Titoonium which her owner’s best friend calls her that because she says that is what Petunia is made of.
Petunia knows how to sit up and stay on her hind legs. You can tempt her to perform this treat with her favorite treats of either chicken or ham.
When asked what makes Petunia special her owner told us this: “What makes my Petunia unique is her WONDERFUL LOVING SOUL! When Petunia hugs me, I can feel her push her chest into mine as hard as she can. So she can get as close as possible to my heart with hers.”
