Melissa graduated from Argosy University in 2005 with her AAS in Veterinary Technology and acquired her certification shorty thereafter in 2006. She has a strong affinity for working with pets and the many different quirks they can have, as well as the human-animal bond.
Melissa is a lifelong resident of the area. She enjoys owning her own home here as well as working in a clinic where she has such strong ties to the community. She worked at Crossroads Animal Shelter prior to pursuing her technician degree and continued to do so after graduation for some time. Her ten year employment with the shelter solidified her drive to continue to help within the rescue community, she now enjoys assisting Minnesota Pit Bull Rescue with various volunteer needs in her free time. She works part time with her family business on her days off and enjoys spending the rest of her free time with her family, friends, and several pets at home.
